Student Voices from Conversations with a Professor Series: Research Dinner
Getting to sit down with a professor and hear about their research in
such a casual, small group setting, was an intriguing idea and event. It
reminded me of yet another reason why I like Wagner. There are so many
opportunities for professors and students to interact. It greatly
enhances the student experience at Wagner. Being especially interested
in research methods, I enjoyed hearing about how professors actually
carry out and collect their data.
- LEAH VINTON, NYU Wagner student
As a first semester international student, listening to professors talking about their research helps me know more about US public systems. It was also a good chance to meet other students. Their experience and advice are very important for new comers like me.
- GUO XIAOLEI, NYU Wagner student
As a first year student who has taken primarily core classes, I haven't had many opportunities in the classroom to learn about the intricacies and details of faculty research projects. This event encouraged me to think about unfamiliar topics because of the diverse disciplines that the professors represent, and it enabled me to hear about findings and additional questions that they hope to answer in future studies. It was an extremely thought out (and sold out!) event.
